Host a Classroom Workshop

TIPS is always seeking college campuses to host TIPS for the University Train-the-Trainer workshops. Hosting is the best way to introduce TIPS to your campus. We supply the training materials and a certified TIPS Master Trainer. Our Master Trainers are energetic, people-oriented professionals who will thoroughly prepare your team to confidently present the material to your campus population.

The only requirements to host are to provide a TV with a DVD player (or similar technology), flip chart or white board, and a room large enough to comfortably seat 20 people. There is no fee to host, but if you want to send student leaders and/or administrators to the workshop the cost is $225 per person. We are offering a $50 discount on one workshop seat for any campus that agrees to host. There are two ways to host a TIPS for the University workshop on your campus:

Host an OPEN Workshop

Choose this approach if you’d like one or more TIPS trainers on your campus and you want to open that opportunity to other schools or organizations in your area. Staff members at TIPS will be responsible for advertising the workshop and ensuring adequate enrollment.

Host a CLOSED Workshop

Choose this approach if you have at least 7 people on your campus who would like to become certified TIPS trainers. TIPS will tailor the training to fit the specific concerns and policies for your campus. For a closed workshop, you accept the responsibility for ensuring adequate enrollment.
